Last January 5, 2026, during the Opening Mass of the first cycle for this year, our brother Peter Nguyen Minh Tin received the minor orders of lector and acolyte. This is a special occasion to celebrate with the old and new students of ALC, since Brother Tin will be serving them as part of the ALC management team. As stated in the 1972 Apostolic Letter Ministeria quaedam by Pope Paul VI, which established these roles in priestly formation, being a lector and acolyte is an act of service at the Lord’s table by a person who, in his self-giving, humbly assists the ministers in their respective roles.
As part of his formation, Brother Tin will also participate in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at the Philippine Heart Center, where he will study, reflect, visit, and care for patients as part of his spiritual growth. It is our hope that he will deepen his compassion for the sick, the less fortunate, and those who rely on government services. Above all, may this program also allow him to better discern the meaning of his being an Assumptionist, and his commitment to the Kingdom of God and His reign for all.
